Company Profile

The concept of R.C.C. doorframes and window frames was conceived by us almost 20 years ago, then young fresh engineers from a reputed institute from central India.

These frames are well researched and designed to provide maximum value for your money.  A careful thought has gone into making it the best option available, by all means.

Teakwood has, for ages, been the most preferred material for Door / Window frames. Over a period, teakwood started becoming sparsely available and was being substituted by cheaper varieties of wood. This cheaper wood is also turning out to be expensive. It is inherently susceptible to such omnipresent problems as termites and decaying. Moreover, the seasonal variations in humidity cause undesirable deformation (swelling and contracting) of wooden articles. More over use of wood for door & window frames has an adverse impact on ecology.

It is in this context that the Bureau of Indian Standards mentions in its IS-6523 of 1983. "The increasing scarcity and high cost of good timber has considerably increased the utility of precast reinforced cement concrete door frames, which are not only durable but also appreciably economical ... Precast reinforced concrete frames for doors will be found specially useful where provisions for such frames will have to be made on a mass scale as in the case of large housing colonies."

Rolled steel (angle or EZ - 7 sections) and sheet steel frames have also been tried to overcome the prohibitive costs of wood. Certain aspects of the steel option have been overlooked. Steel, being steel, is extremely prone to corrosion. This factor rules out this option in coastal areas where the air is extremely humid and therefore corrosive. In other areas, where ambient temperature varies between 40 degrees plus in summers and 10-15 degrees in winters, the high thermal coefficient of expansion of steel causes considerable deformation in the frame over a period of time and would result in loosening from the brickwork.

It is in this backdrop that we pioneered the reinforced concrete option for door and window frames way back in the early nineties, at time when the ecological concerns were much less acute.

The Wonder Block

The Wonder Block is an insert made of a polymer compound designed to have excellent screw holding capacity (about 250 Kg./ 35mm screw; test certificate may be provided on request). Three such Wonder Blocks are provided on each vertical member. Each lot of WonderBlock is subject to testing on Electronic Tensometer to ascertain the minimum screw holding capacity of the block.

The other important features of Ventura frames are:
